Elisabeth Leerssen — FOUNDER
With seven years in the running at Pale Studio, Elisabeth oversees pattern design, material research, and the development of yarn and color concepts. She also manages material sourcing, collaborates closely with suppliers, and guides the textile prototyping process in partnership with manufacturers and clients.
After completing her studies at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam in 2012, her career as a textile designer has spanned a range of areas, from fashion textiles to interior textiles.
Prior to establishing Pale Studio, Elisabeth held significant roles in product development at Elitis, Kvadrat, Marine Serre and Études Studio.
Her work has been presented in several exhibitions and international programs. In 2024, she was selected for the TaDA – Textile and Design Alliance artist residency in Switzerland, further expanding her research and practice. Elisabeth Leerssen’s work has been featured in exhibitions such as ‘BIENNALE AMOUR VIVANT ’ and ‘RESSOURCES’ at La Biennale Émergences, among others.
